Budgam, May 14 (JKNS): Er. Nazir Yatoo met DC Budgam Athar Aamir Khan (IAS) and raised the issues concerning Model Village Darwan in Charar-i-Sharief.
Despite being declared a model village, Darwan still lacks basic facilities, the school is functioning from a private building, the hospital is also operating from a private building, and the roads, which were macadamised only last year, are already in a dilapidated condition.
There is no proper sanitation, no drainage system, and nothing on the ground reflects the status of a “Model Village.”
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials on spot to visit the village and assess the situation on the ground.
I am doing my part sincerely. Others may try to take credit, but the reality on the ground cannot be changed, and people cannot lie to themselves forever. (JKNS)
