Srinagar, May 13 (JKNS): Fear and panic have gripped residents of Stadium Colony, Lane No. 7, Natipora in Srinagar after a series of stray dog attacks left several people, including children and elderly citizens, injured over the past few days.

Locals told news agency JKNS that the stray dogs roaming in the area have turned increasingly aggressive, forcing families to remain indoors and restricting movement during morning and evening hours.

Residents said multiple persons sustained dog-bite injuries while passing through the locality, with children and senior citizens facing the worst impact.

“People are scared to move outside. Children are unable to play freely while elderly residents hesitate to walk through the lane due to fear of attacks,” a local resident said.

The residents appealed to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and concerned animal control authorities to immediately intervene and remove the aggressive stray dogs from the area to avoid further incidents.

Locals warned that if timely action is not taken, the situation may worsen and pose a serious threat to public safety in the locality. (JKNS)
