Srinagar, May 13 (JKNS): Principal Census Officer (Urban) and Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Faz Lul Haseeb on Wednesday visited census training centres at Kashmir Government Polytechnic College Gogji Bagh and Government Women’s College MA Road to review the ongoing training programme for Supervisors and Enumerators ahead of Census 2027.

As per news agency JKNS, Principal Census Officer (Urban)/Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mr. Faz Lul Haseeb, IAS, today visited the census training centres at Kashmir Government Polytechnic College Gogji Bagh and Government Women’s College MA Road to review the ongoing training programme being imparted to Supervisors and Enumerators in connection with Census 2027.

During the visit, the Commissioner inspected the training sessions to assess the preparedness and ensure that the training programme is being conducted smoothly and in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

 

Interacting with the trainers and participants, the Commissioner highlighted the significance of the census as a vital national exercise that plays a crucial role in planning and policy formulation. He urged the trainees to thoroughly understand the procedures and responsibilities associated with the enumeration process and to perform their duties with utmost accuracy, transparency, and dedication.

 

He also expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and the overall conduct of the training sessions and appreciated the efforts of the officers and staff involved in successfully organizing the programme.

 

The Commissioner was accompanied by the City Census Officer Ms. Nuzhat Qureshi, JKAS, along with the concerned Charge Officers, who also reviewed the arrangements and interacted with the trainees during the visits.

 

The ongoing training programme forms an important component of the preparatory phase for Census 2027, aimed at equipping field staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the enumeration process across Srinagar. (JKNS)
