The accused was represented before the court by advocates Sameer Hussain Dar, Nazir Ahmad Dar and Aamir Nazir of United Law Firm, who argued that the allegations levelled against their client were not substantiated by the material collected during the course of investigation.

The defence counsel submitted before the court that the statements recorded during investigation did not disclose any incriminating role of the accused and contended that continued incarceration without substantive evidence was unjustified.

After hearing arguments from both prosecution and defence and considering the material placed on record, the court granted bail to the accused. The defence counsel maintained that criminal jurisprudence is based on the principle that no individual can be held guilty merely on the basis of public perception or media coverage in absence of credible incriminating material.
