Srinagar Police Destroys Wild Bung (Cannabis) at Gungbugh Bund under Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan

Srinagar, May 11 (JKNS): Continuing its sustained efforts against the menace of drug abuse and narcotics cultivation under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police carried out a special drive against wild bung (cannabis) cultivation at Gungbugh Bund.

The drive was conducted by Police Post Tengpora under the command of SI Omer Ullah Islam, Incharge Police Post Tengpora, in coordination with the Municipal team. During the operation, wild bung (cannabis) spread over approximately 03 kanals of land was destroyed on the spot.

The public is requested to extend cooperation to Police and share information regarding drug peddling or illegal cultivation of narcotic plants in their areas so that strict legal action can be taken against the offenders.
