Mega Blood Donation Camp Held at SDH Beerwah, Around 50 Units of Blood Donated

Budgam, May 11 (JKNS): A successful Mega Blood Donation Camp was organized at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Beerwah by social activist Muzamil Mahmood with the support of Beerwah Indane Gas Agency.

The camp witnessed overwhelming participation from volunteers and youth, with around 50 units of blood donated for the noble cause of saving precious lives. A large number of young donors enthusiastically participated in the humanitarian initiative.

 

Among those present on the occasion were Tehsildar Beerwah Aliya Tabassum, Block Medical Officer Beerwah and JKPS, Assistant Public Prosecutor Beerwah Asiya Farooq, Naib Tehsildar Beerwah, President of Bar Association Beerwah Advocate Bilal Ahmad Rather, and Managing Director of Beerwah Indane Gas Agency Nazir Ahmad Mir, besides several prominent persons from different walks of life.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Tehsildar Beerwah Aliya Tabassum said that blood donation is a great humanitarian service and such welfare initiatives help promote brotherhood and humanity in society.

 

The participation of members from the Sikh community was widely appreciated as a symbol of communal harmony, brotherhood, and humanity. A member of the Sikh community, Smiran Singh, also highlighted the importance of humanity and social service during the event.

 

Members of the Bar Association Beerwah also donated blood and encouraged others to contribute towards saving lives.

 

Addressing the gathering, social activist Muzamil Mahmood said that blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity and such initiatives should continue in the future to help patients in need. He thanked all the blood donors and blessed them for their noble contribution. Muzamil Mahmood also expressed gratitude to the Beerwah administration for extending support in making the blood donation camp successful.

 

Nazir Ahmad Mir appreciated the active participation of youth and blood donors and described the initiative as a commendable step for humanity. He appealed to the youth to stay away from the menace of drugs and actively participate in positive activities for the betterment of society. He also praised the blood donors for their humanitarian contribution.

 

President of Bar Association Beerwah Advocate Bilal Ahmad Rather, while addressing the gathering, said that donating blood for humanity is a noble and exemplary act that reflects the spirit of compassion and social responsibility. He also appealed to the youth to actively participate in social and welfare activities.

 

At the conclusion of the camp, certificates of appreciation were distributed among blood donors and members of the media fraternity for their contribution and support in making the programme successful. (JKNS)
