Army’s Nursing Course for GDC Pattan Students Wins Praise in North Kashmir

Pattan, May 11 (JKNS): Indian Army has launched a two-week Basic Nursing Course for students of Govt Degree College Pattan , an initiative that has been widely appreciated by the people of Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, for empowering youth with essential healthcare and emergency response skills.

The course aims to equip students with practical knowledge in first aid, golden-hour casualty management, and basic nursing techniques. Through hands-on training sessions, participants are being taught how to respond effectively during medical emergencies and assist in community healthcare activities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Officials said the programme has been designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and create awareness about basic healthcare practices among students and faculty members alike. They added that the skills being imparted during the course would prove highly beneficial in real-life emergency situations and public service efforts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The initiative has received an overwhelming response from students, with a large number enthusiastically registering for the training programme. Residents of the Pattan area have also expressed happiness over the Army’s efforts, saying such programmes not only enhance practical knowledge among youth but also encourage a spirit of service and responsibility towards society.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Locals described the initiative as a positive step towards youth empowerment and community welfare, while appreciating the Indian Army for organising meaningful educational and skill-development activities in the region.(JKNS)
