Kulgam, May 06 (JKNS): In a strong enforcement action against drug trafficking, Kulgam Police on Wednesday demolished a property belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the Yaripora area, intensifying its crackdown under the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign.

As per news agency JKNS Kulgam Police on Wednesday demolished a property belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the Tantrypora area of Yaripora in Kulgam district, officials said.

An official stated that the action was taken as part of an intensified anti-drug drive aimed at curbing the menace of narcotics in the district.

The demolished structure, identified as a shopping complex belonging to Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, was situated under Khasra No. 174 Min, Section 4.

The operation was carried out on the directions of SSP Kulgam Shri Anayat Ali Chaudhary and under the close supervision of DSP Hatipora and SHO Yaripora, in coordination with the Revenue Department.

Officials reiterated their commitment to continue strict action against individuals involved in drug peddling and warned that such operations will persist to ensure a drug-free society in the district. (JKNS)
