Srinagar, May 4 (JKNS): A man who sustained grievous injuries after falling from a truck that overturned at New Bypass Lasjan area of Srinagar has succumbed to his injuries at Hospital, officials said on Monday.

An official told news agency JKNS, the accident occurred when a truck overturned on the New Bypass, road at Lajan during which a person sitting on its rooftop fell down and was critically injured.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Bokda, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Mazmoo Qazigund, aged around 50 years.

He was initially shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where he was undergoing treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, officials said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
