Srinagar, May 2 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday ordered the promotion of two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Union Territory.
According to an order issued by the Home Department Jammu and Kashmir, as per news agency JKNS, sanction has been accorded to the promotion of Mr. Mudasser Ahmed Tramboo and Mr. Vaseem Mehmood (General Cadre) as Superintendents of Police in Level 11 of the pay matrix, with immediate effect.
The order, bearing Government Order No. 265-Home of 2026 dated May 02, 2026, states that the promotions have been cleared following references from the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and CID, J&K.
It further adds that the promotions shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions, if pending before any competent court of law. (JKNS)
