Srinagar, May 1 (JKNS): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday apprehended a police head constable allegedly while accepting a bribe of five thousand in the Batmaloo area of Srinagar, officials said.
Details available with news agency JKNS, the accused has been identified as HC Parvaiz Ahmad, who was caught red-handed near Shamshan Bhumi Batmaloo while accepting ₹5,000 in cash.
Officials said the accused was presently posted with a political functionary at the time of the incident.
A case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up by ACB Srinagar, officials said. (JKNS)
