The case originated from a complaint by residents of Pulwama, alleging that the accused fraudulently obtained lakhs of rupees on the pretext of securing government jobs for the children and relatives of complainants,.

Investigations revealed that the accused, acting in criminal conspiracy, posed as influential officials and issued forged appointment orders purportedly from the Forest Department, later confirmed to be fake. Payments were allegedly taken in cash under the guise of “backdoor entry.”
