Shopian Drug Disposal Committee Incinerates Seized Narcotics from 26 NDPS Cases

Shipain, Apr 30 (JKNS): In compliance with the orders of the District Court Shopian and in accordance with the provisions of Section 52A of the NDPS Act, the Drug Disposal Committee Shopian destroyed a huge quantity of seized contraband substances.

The destruction was carried out at IGC Kashmir Health Care System Lassipora, under strict adherence to legal protocols and environmental safety standards.

 

 

 

 

The contraband substances destroyed were seized in 26 different NDPS FIRs of Police Station Shopian, Zainapora, Heerpora, Imamsahib and Keller.

 

 

 

 

The items destroyed included Charas 64.719 Kgs, Poppy Straw 56.126 Kgs, Cannabis 34.761 Kgs, Bhung 20.745 Kgs, Ganja 4.118 Kgs and Heroin 10 grams. The process was duly photographed and videographed for official record.

 

 

 

 

Shopian Police reiterates its unwavering commitment to eradicating the drug menace and fostering a drug-free society. Citizens are urged to support this mission by reporting any drug-related activities to the nearest police station. (JKNS)
