Half-Kilo Charas Seized in Sangam: Anantnag Police Nab Drug Peddler During Naka Checking

Anantnag, Apr 30 (JKNS): In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Anantnag Police apprehended a drug peddler during routine naka checking at GB Khalil, Sangam, and recovered over half a kilogram of charas-like substance from his possession.

As per news agency JKNS Police said, police party from Police Post Sangam achieved a significant success during routine naka checking at GB Khalil, Sangam.

 

 

 

 

During the operation, one individual identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar S/o Mohammad Akbar Dar R/o Renzipora, Awantipora was apprehended. Upon his search, approximately 534 grams of charas powder-like substance was recovered from his possession.

 

 

 

 

In this regard, a case FIR No. 113/2026 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara and investigation has been set into motion.

 

 

 

 

Police remain committed to curbing the menace of drug trafficking and urge the general public to cooperate and share any information regarding such illegal activities. (JKNS)
