Jammu, Apr 29 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Jammu has ordered a change in school timings for all government and recognized private schools up to Higher Secondary level in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division.

As per Order No. 155-DSEJ of 2026 dated April 28, 2026, as pwr news agency JKNS, the revised timing shall be from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will remain in effect from May 1 to September 30, 2026.

 

 

 

 

The directive, issued by the Director School Education Jammu, has been circulated among all concerned administrative and educational authorities for strict compliance.

 

 

 

 

Copies of the order have been sent to the Commissioner/Secretary, School Education Department, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioners of all districts in Jammu Division, and other officials for necessary action.

 

 

 

 

The Joint Director Information Jammu has been asked to ensure wide dissemination of the order through print and electronic media, while Chief Education Officers have been directed to implement the revised schedule in letter and spirit. (JKNS)
