Yaripora Unites Against Drugs: Police Lead Grassroots Awareness Drive in Kulgam

Kulgam, Apr 25 (JKNS): Kulgam Police on Saturday organized a comprehensive drug awareness programme at Police Station Yaripora under the ongoing Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan, aiming to strengthen public participation in the fight against drug abuse.

The programme was conducted in collaboration with the general public, Yaripora market traders, and local taxi unions. It was led by SHO Yaripora under the supervision of DySP Hatipora and carried out as per the directions of SSP Kulgam, Sh. Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS).

 

 

 

 

During the interaction, participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need for collective societal efforts to eradicate the menace. Police officials highlighted the critical role of community support in identifying and curbing drug-related activities.

 

 

 

 

Emphasizing vigilance, police urged citizens, traders, and transport unions to remain proactive and report any suspicious activities. They assured that the identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential to ensure their safety.

 

 

 

 

Kulgam Police reiterated its firm commitment to making the district drug-free and appealed to the public for continued cooperation in achieving this goal. (JKNS)
