Srinagar, Apr 23 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday ordered the attachment of the In-charge Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 159-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated April 23, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, states that, Abdul Rashid Mir, who was also holding additional charge as CEO Bandipora, has been attached to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir.

The order issued from the Civil Secretariat Jammu stated that the decision has been taken by the competent authority and comes into force immediately.

It further directed that the Joint Director, Education (North) Kashmir shall look after the responsibilities earlier held by Mir, in addition to his own duties, till further orders. (JKNS)
