Srinagar, Apr 20 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed profound grief over the loss of lives in the tragic bus accident in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per news agency JKNS, taking to X, the Prime Minister’s office said he was deeply saddened by the incident and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.

 

“My thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.

The Prime Minister further announced ex-gratia assistance, stating that ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while ₹50,000 will be given to those injured in the mishap. (JKNS)
