DC Poonch Orders Mock Air Raid, Blackout Drills in Poonch from April 20-24

Srinagar, Apr 19 (JKNS): Deputy Commissioner Poonch on Sunday said that the scheduled Civil Defence mock drill in the district has been cancelled, assuring that there is no cause for concern as the exercise was part of routine preparedness.

As per news agency JKNS, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch in a post on X wrote that the routine mock drill, scheduled from April 20 to April 24 by Civil Defence and SDRF, stands cancelled.

Earlier, in a communique, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch had issued directions for conducting a Civil Defence air raid and blackout mock exercise across the district from April 20 to April 24, 2026, aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and coordinated response mechanisms. (JKNS)
