J&K People’s Conference Vows Strong Push for Drug-Free Srinagar, Calls for Collective Action

Srinagar, Apr 17 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir People’s Conference District Srinagar unit has reiterated its strong commitment to making Srinagar drug-free, emphasizing collective action against the growing menace of substance abuse.

Under the guidance of party president Sajad Gani Lone, the district unit has taken up the responsibility to support efforts aimed at eradicating drug addiction from society. The party leadership stated that all necessary measures will be undertaken to assist civil society and the district administration in addressing this serious issue.

 

 

 

 

In a statement, Mir Fanoon, Senior Vice President of the party’s Srinagar district, highlighted that drug abuse is a grave social, physical, and moral problem that not only destroys lives but also tears families apart and weakens the very fabric of society.

 

 

 

 

He stressed that eliminating this menace requires a united approach involving families, society, and government institutions. He further called for enhanced awareness programmes, stronger support systems for those battling addiction, and strict action against drug traffickers.

 

 

 

 

The party urged all sections of society to come forward and contribute towards building a safer, healthier, and drug-free Srinagar. (JKNS)
