Srinagar, Apr 16 (JKNS): One person was killed and four others sustained injuries after a portion of an under-construction cold storage unit collapsed in Lassipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

Reports reaching news agency JKNS that strong gusty winds led to the collapse of the truss of the under-construction structure, resulting in injuries to five persons at the site.

 

 

 

 

All the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

 

 

 

 

The deceased has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Mir, a resident of Ruhama, Rafiabad. The injured include Jaspreet Singh of Amritsar, Aijaz Kumar and Hilal Ahmad Rather of Budgam, and Naseer Ahmad Mir of Baramulla.

 

 

 

 

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
