“Law Finally Catches Up: Absconder Held After 39 Years in Rape Case in Budgam”

Budgam, Apr 15 (JKNS): In a significant breakthrough, Budgam Police has apprehended a long-time absconder who had been evading arrest for nearly four decades in connection with a rape case registered at Police Station Budgam.

As per news agency JKNS, The accused, Bashir Ahmad Ganaie, son of Abdul Majeed Ganaie, a resident of Drer Kalipora, Shopian, presently residing at Lammer, Kulgam, was wanted in FIR No. 237/1987 under Sections 366 and 376 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
