Srinagar, Apr 12 (JKNS): Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Sunday expressed concern over the conclusion of US-Iran talks without any agreement, terming it a missed opportunity for peace in the Middle East.

As per news agency JKNS, Bukhari, in a post on X, said the failure of talks is not only disappointing but also dangerous, as the ongoing conflict continues to take a heavy toll on human lives across countries involved, while also impacting nations not directly part of the war, including India.

He stated that the consequences of the conflict are already visible, with disruptions in economic growth and trade, while millions of Indian nationals in Gulf countries face uncertainty. He also warned that the stability of inward remittances could be affected amid the prolonged crisis.

“At this crucial juncture, one can only hope that reason prevails and that the concerned countries at least uphold and strengthen the ceasefire. The world cannot afford prolonged instability, it needs peace,” he said. (JKNS)
