Authorities Launch Trial One-Way Traffic Plan in Sopore to Decongest Roads

Sopore, Apr 12 (JKNS): In view of persistent traffic congestion in Sopore town, the district administration has initiated a one-way traffic plan on a trial basis to streamline vehicular movement and ease public inconvenience.

The initiative is being closely monitored by senior officials, including ADC Sopore S.A. Raina (JKAS), SSP Sopore Iftkhar Talib (JKPS), ASP Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir, SDPO Sopore Mohd Rafi, ARTO Baramulla Mudasir Ahmad, MC CEO Sopore Wali Mohd Wani, R&B Executive Engineer Er. Javid Ahmad Fakhtoo, SHO Sopore Ayaz Geelani, and DO Bus Stand Sopore Shoaib Ahmad, along with other concerned officers.

 

The trial traffic regulation will remain in force from April 12 to April 15, during which authorities will assess its effectiveness in reducing congestion and improving traffic flow within the town.

 

The general public, commuters, and transporters are requested to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the new traffic regulations for the larger public good.

 

The implementation of the trial one-way traffic plan in Sopore town has received widespread appreciation from the local populace, civil society members, and the transport community.

 

Residents and commuters have expressed gratitude to the Sopore.

 

Administration and Sopore Police for taking this timely and much-needed initiative to address the growing issue of traffic congestion in the town. The move is being seen as a significant step towards ensuring smoother vehicular movement and enhancing overall public convenience.

 

Members of civil society and transporters have particularly welcomed the proactive approach of the authorities and have assured their full cooperation in making the trial plan a success.

 

Further adjustments to the traffic plan will be made based on observations and public feedback. (JKNS)
