SSP Sopore Holds Monthly Crime Review Meeting; Focus on Crime Control, Public Service Delivery and Security

Sopore, Apr 7 (JKNS): Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib–JKPS chaired a comprehensive Monthly Crime Review Meeting at the Conference Hall, Sopore, to assess the overall crime scenario, operational performance, and public service delivery across Police District Sopore.

The meeting was attended by all SDPOs, DySP Ops, SHOs, and DOs of the district. A detailed and threadbare discussion was held on crime detection and prevention, with special focus on cases under NDPS and UAPA, ensuring timely investigation, effective prosecution, and adherence to legal timelines.

The overall security scenario and law & order situation of the district were also reviewed, with emphasis on maintaining vigilance, strengthening intelligence flow and ensuring prompt response to emerging challenges.

During the meeting, the monthly performance of Police Stations and Police Posts was critically analysed and targets assigned earlier were reviewed. Fresh targets and clear directions were issued to further improve efficiency, accountability and operational outcomes.

All under-investigation cases were reviewed in detail, with officers directed to expedite investigations, maintain quality documentation and ensure proper coordination with prosecution agencies.

The meeting also focused on improving public service delivery, including verification services, grievance redressal and citizen-centric policing initiatives. Officers were instructed to ensure timely and transparent services to the public and to strengthen community engagement.

Sopore Police reiterated its commitment to professional policing, effective crime control and responsive public service, while maintaining peace, order and public confidence across the district. (JKNS)
