Srinagar, Apr 4 (JKNS): In a significant administrative action, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has suspended an IPS officer pending enquiry into alleged misappropriation of GP funds and irregularities in income tax deductions involving police personnel of a security battalion, officials said.

According to an order issued by the Home Department, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, it reads: “Pending enquiry in the matter of misappropriation of GP funds and income tax deductions of police personnel of JKAP-4 Security Battalion, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria, IPS (the then Commandant JKAP-4 Security Battalion), Commandant 1st Border Battalion, Jammu, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.”
