District Amateur Kabaddi Championship 2025–2026 Concludes at Ellahi Bagh, Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 1 (JKNS): The District Amateur Kabaddi Championship for the session 2025–2026 was successfully conducted on 30th and 31st March 2026 at the Indoor Stadium, Ellahi Bagh, Srinagar.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from young players across the district in Sub-Junior and Junior categories for both boys and girls, reflecting the growing popularity of kabaddi at the grassroots level.

The event was graced by Mr. Nazir Ahmad, Senior Journalist, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Iqbal, Manager Indoor Stadium Ellahi Bagh, as the Guest of Honour.

The championship was organised by Mr. Gulzar Ahmad, Secretary, District Srinagar Kabaddi Association.

Winner: R.P School Zakura, Srinagar
Runner-up: Islamic Global School, Padshahi Bagh, Srinagar
Junior Boys
Winner: Imamia Public School, Dal Lake, Srinagar
Runner-up: New R.P School Zakura, Srinagar
Sub-Junior Girls
Winner: R.P School Lawaypora
Runner-up: Firdous Educational Institute
Junior Girls
Winner: R.P School Lawaypora
Runner-up: New R.P School Zakura
The championship concluded successfully with appreciation for all participating teams, officials, and organizers. The event provided a valuable platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and further strengthened the development of kabaddi in District Srinagar. (JKNS)
