Replying to a starred question, as per news agency JKNS, the government said that two major projects have already been completed by the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), focusing on restoration of the water body and improvement of surrounding infrastructure.

Officials stated that works executed under AMRUT and PMDP included dredging, walkway construction, installation of aerators, development of public facilities, and strengthening of the overall ecosystem around the lagoon.

The government further said that a new DPR is being prepared to take up additional beautification and conservation measures, while efforts to control pollution, prevent encroachment, and improve sewage management in the Dal Lake ecosystem are being continuously carried out. (JKNS)
