Army Organises Half Marathon in Memory of Kirti Chakra Awardee Shabir Ahmad Malik

Srinagar, Mar 29 (JKNS): The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army on Sunday organised a Half Marathon in memory of Paratrooper Shabir Ahmad Malik, Kirti Chakra (Posthumous), from Qamariya Ground, Ganderbal to Sainik School Manasbal.

In a post on X, Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, as per news agency JKNS, wrote, “Run for Honour, Run with Pride. Chinar Corps organised the Paratrooper Shabir Ahmad Malik, Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) Half Marathon on 29 Mar 2026 from Qamariya Ground, Ganderbal to Sainik School Manasbal, witnessing energetic participation of running enthusiasts.”

It further said, “Mr Tahir Aziz Malik secured 1st position, clocking 1 hr 25 mins. Also, honouring valour and supreme sacrifice, Veer Pita Shri Ghulam Hassan Malik was felicitated during the award ceremony.” (JKNS)
