Shopian, Mar 28 (JKNS): Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Shopian, on Saturday organised an exhibition on “Vande Mataram” at the Mini Secretariat, Shopian, as part of the ongoing special phase commemorating 150 years of the national song.

The exhibition was attended by the ADC Shopian, Dr Zakir Hussain Faaz, Joint Director Census, Arun Kumar, DIO Shopian, CEO MC Shopian along with other officers and officials of the district administration and Census Department.

The visiting officers keenly observed the exhibits showcasing the historical significance, cultural essence, and patriotic spirit associated with Vande Mataram.

A series of informative panels, visual displays, and archival material highlighting the contributions and sacrifices of freedom fighters were presented during the programme.

School children from various institutions also visited the exhibition in large numbers and actively engaged with the displays, gaining valuable insights into the nation’s freedom struggle and the enduring legacy of Vande Mataram.
During the visit, the officers appreciated the efforts of DIPR, Shopian in curating a meaningful and educational exhibition.

They stressed the importance of such initiatives in connecting the younger generation with the rich heritage of the nation and instilling values of patriotism and collective identity. (JKNS)
