Srinagar, Mar 27 (JKNS): The Medical Faculty Association (MFA) of GMC/GDC Srinagar on Thursday welcomed the government’s decision to create 90 new faculty posts, terming it a major step towards strengthening medical education and improving healthcare delivery in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, as per news agency JKNS, MFA expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, the State Cabinet, Chief Minister and Minister for Health and Medical Education for approving 90 posts, including 17 Professors and 73 Associate Professors for GMC Srinagar vide Government Order No. 188-JK(HME) of 2026 dated March 25.
The Association said the move will significantly address career progression issues among faculty and enhance the quality of academic and clinical services in the institution. (JKNS)
