According to a spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, in a statement issued to news agency JKNS, the connecting flight to New Delhi carrying stranded Indian students from Iran is currently showing a delayed status.

The flight had earlier arrived in Dubai as part of a connecting route from Armenia and was scheduled to depart for New Delhi this morning. However, due to the ongoing disruption at the airport following the incident, the departure has been delayed.

Around 80 Indian students, most of them from Kashmir Valley, along with several pilgrims, are onboard the flight and are awaiting further updates regarding their departure, spokesperson said, adding that the said flight was earlier scheduled to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, at 9:55 AM this morning.

In a statement Emirates have informed on X that, “All flights to and from Dubai have been temporarily suspended. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.” (JKNS)
