Jammu, Mar 15 (JKNS): The 51st Raising day of Project Sampark, a Border Roads Organization (BRO) was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Jammu on 14 Mar 2026.

The occasion marked the dedication and invaluable contribution of the Project in developing and maintaining strategic road infrastructure in the region of J&K and Nation- building.

Project Sampark was raised on 01 Jan 1975 mainly to develop and maintain the road infrastructure in the region south of Pir Panjal ranges in the J&K and contiguous areas of the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

On the occasion, the Chief Engineer, Project Sampark,Brig RK Mishra recounted the pivotal achievements and major milestones attained by the project and exhorted the troops to achieve highest glory in future. On the occasion the Chief Engineer also felicitated the outstanding personnels for their exemplary service and dedication to duty.

The occasion witnessed various activities including cultural programmes, sports events and variety entertainment programme followed by a Barakhana fostering camaraderie and team spirit among all ranks and families.

Project Sampark continues to play a vital role in the development and maintenance of roads, bridges and tunnels that serve both strategic and civilian needs contributing significantly to the national development and socio- economic growth of the region.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge by all ranks to continue working with dedication and professionalism in furthering the mission of Border Roads Organization (BRO) guided by its motto “Shramena Sarvam Sadhyam.” (JKNS)
