The programme was attended by SDM Karnah Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad and Tehsildar Karnah Mohd Amin Bhat.

During the interaction, discussions focused on key social concerns including cleanliness, protection of water resources, and the rising drug abuse among youth. Religious scholars were encouraged to guide young people and help create awareness within the community.

Participants were urged to utilise Friday (Jummah) congregations to spread brief messages on cleanliness, drug prevention, moral values and social responsibility.

Speakers also emphasised women empowerment, education, and social harmony as essential pillars of a progressive society. The constructive role played by religious leaders in maintaining peace during the recent tensions in West Asia was also appreciated.

The interaction concluded with a shared commitment between the district administration, religious leaders and the Indian Army to work together for a cleaner, healthier and more responsible Karnah.(JKNS)
