Sopore, Mar 6 (JKNS): Three persons were injured after a leopard attacked in the Bohripora area of Sopore on Friday, officials said.

An official told news agency JKNS, The injured have been identified as Shakir Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Latief Dar of Chek Nowpora; Syed Hussain of Bohripora; and Altaf Hussain, a Wildlife Department employee.

All three injured persons were shifted to GMC Baramulla for specialized treatment, he said.

SDPO Sopore Mohd Rafi, Tehsildar Bomai Zaingair Zahid Rashid, DO Bus Stand Sopore Shoaib Ahmad and DO Fruit Mandi Khalid Ahmad also reached the spot. Wildlife teams have been called to trap the animal, official added.(JKNS)
