Srinagar, Mar 5 (JKNS): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday described Jammu & Kashmir’s historic triumph in the Ranji Trophy as a proud milestone for cricket in the region, congratulating the team for scripting a remarkable chapter in Indian domestic cricket.

In a post on X, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, as per news agency JKNS, said that the historic triumph of Jammu & Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy will remain a proud milestone for cricket in the region.

The BCCI said that following their memorable victory, the players expressed a heartfelt desire to meet Jay Shah and share the special moment with him, acknowledging the role his leadership played in strengthening cricket in Jammu & Kashmir during his tenure as BCCI Secretary.

The cricket body thanked Shah for taking the time to meet the team and sharing words of encouragement with the players as they celebrated the historic achievement.

BCCI also congratulated the entire J&K team and the cricket fraternity for scripting a remarkable chapter in Indian domestic cricket. (JKNS)
