Baramulla Police Tightens Vigil, Six Sand-Loaded Tippers Booked at Delina

Baramulla, Mar 4 (JKNS): Baramulla police on Wednesday tightened vigil on sand tippers and booked six sand loaded tippers.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, police said, During a routine checking drive by Police Post Delina at Delina, Baramulla Police intercepted six (06) tippers carrying sand.

During inspection, the drivers of the vehicles were unable to produce valid royalty documents required for lawful transportation of the mineral.

The vehicles involved are, JK04B-3027, JK01AJ-6218, JK05B-5756, JK05D-6029, JK05B-6298, JK05B-6955.

Accordingly, action has been initiated under Section 21 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, and further legal proceedings have been taken as per law, it reads.

Baramulla Police reiterates its commitment to curb illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and will continue to take strict action against violators. (JKNS)
