Prof Aneesa Shafi Appointed Dean, College Development Council at University of Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 4 (JKNS): University of Kashmir on Wednesday appointed Prof. Aneesa Shafi of the Department of Sociology as Dean, College Development Council (DCDC) for a period of three years.

According to an order issued by the Administration Teaching Section dated March 04, 2026, as per news agency JKNS, Prof. Aneesa Shafi (E-Code 663) shall assume charge as DCDC with effect from March 06, 2026 (forenoon) for a period of three years or till she attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.

Consequent upon the appointment, Prof. Khursheed Ahmad (E-Code 534) of the Department of Commerce shall stand relieved of the charge of Dean, College Development Council with effect from March 05, 2026 (afternoon) on completion of his term.

 

Prof. Aneesa Shafi has previously served as Dean Student Welfare, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, and Head of the Department of Sociology at the University of Kashmir. (JKNS)
