Srinagar, Feb 28 (JKNS): Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for their historic Ranji Trophy triumph, saying it was heartening to see the region evolve from producing champion-quality willow bats to becoming champions on the field.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Tendulkar remarked that Kashmir willows have long been part of many champions’ kits, and witnessing Jammu and Kashmir’s journey to lifting the title themselves was a beautiful moment.

 

He praised the team’s consistency, resilience and excellence throughout the demanding season, while also highlighting Auqib Nabi’s impactful bowling performances.

 

Calling it a historic milestone, the batting great said such journeys define the true beauty of domestic cricket and lauded the efforts of the players, coaches and support staff behind the memorable achievement. (JKNS)
