Kupwara , 21 Feb : A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry – Young Indians (Yi) visited Tangdhar and interacted with community elders, students, civil administration officials, and local entrepreneurs of Karnah.

The visit, facilitated by the Indian Army, focused on promoting border area and battlefield tourism, while exploring opportunities for infrastructure development and employment generation in the region.

Youth from Karnah participated enthusiastically in discussions on homestays, cottage industries, and entrepreneurship. Members of the delegation assured the local youth of their continued mentorship, guidance, and support in developing sustainable livelihoods and strengthening the region’s tourism potential. The event was attended by Mr Mumtaz, assistant commissioner revenue Kupawara, Mr Muddasir, BDO Tangdhar, Mr Ameen Bhat, Tehsildar, Karnah, Principal , GDC Tangdhar and officials from District Industry Department.
