92 BN, CRPF organised Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan under Civic Action Program (CAP) held in Bomai Sopore

Sopore,19, Feb 2026:(JKNS): A programme under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bahrat Abhiyan” was held on Thursday at north Kashmir’s Sopore Bomai Village in order to make Sopore a Drug free subdivision.

The programme was held under Civic Action Program (CAP) a CRPF initiative for community services. It was intended to spread awareness and to reduce drug demand under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

On this occasion DIG Shri Naresh Kumar,Sh.Ravi Mishra 2ic 92 BN,
Sh. Sudhir Sonavale, AC,
Tehsildar Bomai Zaingair Zahid Rashid,(KAS), Dr. M. Saiaindhu, 92 BN, Chairman Civil Society Bomai,Mohammad Ramzan Lone, Insp.Amar Bashir, Excise Dept.Dr.Owais Ahmad, GMC Handwara,Staff Members of Hr Sec school Bomai,Including from PS Bomai PSI Shubham Kalsi and Officers of 92 BN CRPF, officials & Civil administration and other members were present.

Sh. Naresh Kumar, DIG urged students to refrain from the drug menace and to make the anti-drug mission successful.He also asked parents to keep a watchful eye on their kids as they will be the first observer and respondent in case their ward gets addicted.He notably mentioned that day by day young children are getting more and more into it so that increases responsibility of parents and teachers.

Speakers on the occasion said that relentless efforts and commitment is required to take the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan as a result oriented campaign.

They said drug addiction can devastate the future of the young generation, adding that “we jointly have to share responsibility in keeping vigil at our wards and their close ones to prevent them from getting into this menace.”

Various steps were discussed in a meeting as how to keep youngsters away from the drug menace. The main motive of the meeting was to make Sopore a drug free area-(JKNS)
