Srinagar, Feb 18 (JKNS): A suspected unattended suitcase was found at Narbal near the Ring Road along the Baramulla-Srinagar National Highway on Wednesday morning, prompting immediate security measures in the area.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the area was immediately secured and necessary precautions were taken to ensure public safety. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and local police were informed for verification and disposal of the suspicious item as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
As a precautionary measure, traffic movement along the stretch may be regulated until clearance is given by the concerned authorities. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
