Anantnag, Feb 14 (JKNS): In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police apprehended a drug peddler during routine patrolling and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband from his possession at Doonipora near Weeta College.
As per news agency JKNS, Anantnag Police achieved a significant success by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering contraband substance from his possession.
A police party from Police Post Sangam, during routine patrolling duty at Doonipora near Weeta College, intercepted a suspicious individual. Upon search, the accused was found in possession of approximately 5.66 kilograms of Ganja like substance.
The accused has been identified as Sahil Fayaz Dar, son of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, resident of KV Pora Marhama.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 28/2026 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bejbehara, and investigation has been taken up. (JKNS)
