Srinagar, Feb 13(JKNS): Abrar Ahmed Bhat, State General Secretary and Official Spokesperson of Janta Dal (United) Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, has urged the government to immediately address the long-pending issues of daily wage workers and ensure their regularization.

In a statement issued here, Bhat expressed serious concern over the hardships faced by daily wagers who have been working in various government departments for several years with dedication and honesty. He said that despite their continuous service, these workers are still deprived of basic job security and timely wages.

He pointed out that irregular payments, lack of permanent status, and uncertainty about their future have pushed many families into financial distress. “Daily wage employees form the backbone of several essential government sectors, yet their genuine demands remain ignored,” he said.

Calling for immediate intervention, Bhat appealed to the authorities to frame a comprehensive policy for the regularization of daily wagers and to ensure that their wages are released on time. He stressed that providing job security and dignity to these workers is both a moral and administrative responsibility of the government.

Reaffirming his party’s stand, he said that Janta Dal (United) stands firmly with the daily wage workers and will continue to raise their issues at every appropriate platform until justice is delivered.

The statement was issued by the Office of the State General Secretary and Official Spokesperson of the party.(JKNS)
