Srinagar, Feb 10 (JKNS): A major fire broke out in Srinagar’s Habbakadal area on Tuesday late evening, engulfing several residential houses, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS, the fire originated near the revered Nyama Sahib shrine in the locality.
“Two to three houses are currently involved in the blaze,” an official said, adding that the reason behind the fire is yet to be determined.
Firefighting teams have rushed to the scene and are working to control the flames and stop them from spreading further in the densely populated neighborhood.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, while firefighting efforts are still underway.—(JKNS)
