Srinagar, Feb 06 (JKNS): A burnt body of a 47-year-old man was found dead inside his residential house in the Kanipora B.K. Pora area of Nowgam in Srinagar on Friday, officials said.
As official told news agency JKNS, locals alerted the authorities after noticing the incident, following which a police team rushed to the spot and found the body in a burnt condition inside the house.
The deceased was later shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He has been identified as Zameer Ahmad Teli, son of Nazir Ahmad Teli, a resident of Kanipora, Nowgam.
Police have secured the area and taken cognizance of the incident. An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the fire and death. (JKNS)
