Udhampur, Feb 4 (JKNS): Security forces on Wednesday eliminated two Terrorists during an encounter in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, officials said.
Sources told news agency JKNS that the gunfight erupted after joint teams of security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
They said multiple security agencies are participating in the operation, during which two terrorists have been killed. The area has been sealed off and searches are continuing.
Officials said the operation is still in progress and further details will be shared once the situation becomes clearer. (JKNS)
