Efforts Intensified to Restore Traffic on Mughal Road at Earliest,Will take Some Time: SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir

Shopian, Jan 31 (JKNS): Efforts are underway to restore vehicular movement on the historical Mughal Road as authorities continue snow clearance operations following recent heavy snowfall in higher reaches.

Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh, along with DySP Traffic Mushtaq Ahmad, visited Shopian district today to assess the situation and review the condition of the historic Mughal Road.

The officers inspected Mughal road affected by snowfall and interacted with traffic personnel and field teams engaged in restoration work. Officials said coordinated efforts are in progress to ensure early reopening of the road for safe public movement.

Traffic authorities stated that snow clearance teams and machinery remain deployed and work continues despite challenging weather conditions. Officials reaffirmed that restoring connectivity at the earliest remains the top priority. (JKNS)
