Budgam, Jan 25 (JKNS): Budgam Police responded promptly to two medical emergency calls from remote areas of Sub-Division Khansahib, ensuring the safe evacuation of two women patients whose conditions had turned critical.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, Police said, In the first incident, Police Station Khansahib received a distress call from Batpora Shekhpora regarding a woman suffering from severe pain. A police team led by the SHO, Khansahib, immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the patient to Khansahib Hospital for treatment.

In another incident, the same police station responded to an urgent call from the Hariwanin area, where a pregnant woman required immediate medical assistance. The police team safely evacuated her to the hospital for necessary care, it reads.

Local residents appreciated the timely and humanitarian response of the police, particularly in view of the challenging terrain and limited medical access in far-flung areas.

Budgam Police reaffirmed their commitment to community service and urged the public to seek police assistance during emergencies, statement reads. (JKNS)
