The drive was organized under the leadership of Muzamil Ahmad, Chairman of Caring People’s Welfare Foundation, who, along with volunteers and residents, took part in cleaning activities and awareness interactions along the river stretch.

Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Ahmad emphasized that rivers are a lifeline for communities and must be protected from pollution and encroachment. He appealed to the general public, especially the youth, to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

He further urged the administration and stakeholders to strengthen measures for safeguarding natural water bodies and to ensure sustainable development without harming the environment.

Local residents appreciated the initiative and assured their continued support for such drives in the future, highlighting the need for collective responsibility to protect nature for coming generations. (JKNS)
